the following smiths from Kanesaki were active during that period:

KANESAKI (兼先), Eikyō (永享, 1429-1441), Mino – “Kanesaki” (兼先), Akasaka-Senju´in school (赤坂千手院), it is said that he was the son of Kuninaga (国長) and active from Ōei (s, 1394-1428) to Eikyō

KANESAKI (兼先), Bunki (文亀, 1501-1504), Mino – “ “Nōshū Seki-jū Kanesaki” (濃州関住兼先), Kanesaki” (兼先), first name Uemonshirō (右衛門四郎), son or student of the Akasaka-Senju´in Kanesaki (兼先) who was active around Eikyō (永享, 1429-1441), he moved later to Seki and became there a student of Zenjō Kaneshige (善定兼重), there exists also the theory that he was the son of th 2nd gen. Zenjō Kaneyoshi (善定兼吉), gunome-midare, suguha, wazamono, chū-jō-saku

KANESAKI (兼先), Daiei (大永, 1521-1528), Mino – “Nōshū Seki-jū Kanesaki saku” (濃州関住兼先作), “Kanesaki” (兼先), son of Uemonshirō Kanesaki, it is said that he was the same Kanesaki who moved later to the island of Sado (佐渡), he made many yari, itame mixed with masame, suguha, gunome, also a gunome-midare which reminds of the Kenbō-midare of Kanefusa (兼房)
